Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Functions as specialist, providing purchasing and inventory management support to a specific area of hospital inventory supply/equipment. Duties include supply chain operations and logistics functions to include receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery and par/point of use replenishment and stocking as well as input of patient charges as directed. This position also is responsible for working with departmental end users/customers, ensuring an effective and streamlined supply chain.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have 1 year of previous job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs
  • Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of hospital MMIS system
  • Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
  • Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning processes.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret supply chain performance metrics.
    • Familiarity with DDMRP/MRP methodologies and inventory management principles.
    • Experience managing an S&OP process.
    • Demonstrated knowledge in analytics, modeling, and data presentation utilizing raw data exported from multiple databases.
    • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

    Benefits

    The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $135,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.

    The Supply Chain Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the supply chain teams with analyzing costs, developing “should cost” models, formulating negotiation positions, and otherwise identifying areas for process improvements or cost down opportunities throughout the supply chain organization.  In addition, the Supply Chain Business Analyst will act as a key member of the supply chain’s leadership team, coordinating and managing implementation of initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.

    How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
    • Support the Supply Chain team in identifying and implementing cost down and other processes improvements.
    • Act as a liaison and otherwise ensure a strong connection between the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance teams.
    • Work with Supply Chain and other stakeholders to assess the commercial impacts of requested engineering, manufacturing,  and process changes.
    • Assist the Purchasing team in developing negotiation positions and strategies for long term contracts.
    • Develop various supply chain analytical models including; should cost, total cost of ownership, make vs. buy, net present value, 
    • Track and progressively drive down purchase price variance across the various purchasing teams. 
    • High energy, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain, or the equivalent in work experience.
    • 5+ years direct experience as a business or cost analyst, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment
    • Proven track record of identifying and implementing cost-down initiatives
    • Experience in building “should cost” models
    • Self-starter that is a well organized and disciplined, team player
    • Good team communication and leadership skills are required. 
    Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
    • Familiarity with reading blueprints and other technical documentation
    • Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
    • Certified Project Manager
    • Google G -Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts; slack
