  • Understand all elements of product cost; costed BOM, transformation cost, and key main product cost drivers with cost avoidance activities

  • Responsible for minimizing PPV, Excess and Obsolete, Scrap, Expedite fees, etc.
  • Drive the implementation and maintenance of master purchase agreements (MSA) and SMI/VMI agreements with suppliers
  • Drive supplier performance business reviews (SBR), supplier scorecard, and performance improvement plans
  • Lead and drive complex projects, implement rapid solutions, and work successfully cross-functionally to exceed corporate objectives

Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain Management will lead the strategic and operational oversight of the supply chain across all entities within our Managed Service Organization (MSO). This role is responsible for optimizing procurement, logistics, inventory control, and vendor relationships to support clinical and administrative operations across a diverse network of healthcare providers and facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a systems-thinking approach to ensure cost-efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

  • Develop and implement a unified supply chain strategy across all MSO-supported entities.
  • Align supply chain operations with organizational goals, clinical needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Oversee centralized and decentralized procurement processes for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and administrative goods.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Evaluate supplier performance and lead vendor selection and onboarding processes.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and distribution of supplies to clinical sites.
  • Ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods across all supported practices and facilities.
  • Implement logistics KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, and optimization across multiple locations.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels using ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Minimize waste and stockouts while maintaining service readiness.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, DEA) and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission).

Technology & Data Analytics

  • Leverage EMR & supply chain management systems to enhance visibility and decision-making.
  • Use data analytics to drive performance improvements and cost savings.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership, preferably in healthcare or a regulated service environment.
  • Experience working within or supporting a Managed Service Organization or multi-entity healthcare system.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare supply chain dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage complexity across multiple stakeholders and locations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare procurement platforms (e.g., GHX, McKesson, Cardinal Health) preferred
  • Experience integrating supply chain operations during mergers, acquisitions, or practice consolidations preferred

We are an industry leading, AS9100C certified contract CNC machining services and assembly provider focused on low to medium volume production runs. We are currently looking for a Director of Supply Chain Management to manage a team of customer supply chain planners and buyers. This individual will coordinate with the assigned customers and their planners to ensure parts are driven and delivered on time to customer requirements.


This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) at our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage a team of customer supply chain planners and buyers

- Take full ownership of supplier delivery performance

- Communicate directly with customers and suppliers

- Proactively align manufacturing plans to align with customer requirements

- Communicate schedule improvements/delays directly to customer through reports and meetings

- Manage external and internal customer escalations

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes that align with our business goals and customer needs

- Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction

- Ensure on-time deliveries for all acknowledged and confirmed POs

- Document relevant SOP and changes

- Track and report on time delivery to customer need

- Support and train a global team of supply chain managers and buyers


JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- B.S. degree, or higher, in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field

- 5+ years of experience in production, supply chain, order fulfillment, engineering, manufacturing, or operations

- Experience managing a team

- Provide coaching to develop supply chain operations team and establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

- Knowledge of lean concepts and kanban replenishment techniques such as complex mixed model flow, supermarkets, level loading, pull signals, min-max levels, Vendor Managed Inventory is preferred.

- Ability to perform complex problem solving

- Strong analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills

- Advanced experience with MS Excel and MS Word is preferred

- Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and production.

- Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.

- Advanced knowledge of Epicor ERP required (or equivalent advanced knowledge of a comparable ERP software required)
