This is a part-time role with the potential to expand as our business continues to grow. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in tax resolution, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to take on a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Support tax resolution cases by gathering documents, organizing client data, and tracking case progress
- Perform accurate data entry in Excel, tax software, and client portals
- Upload and manage forms within the IRS portal
- Use IRS-approved software to pull and analyze transcripts
- Conduct light research to support tax resolution strategies and compliance needs
- Greet and communicate clearly with clients, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications:
- Active PTIN required (or willingness to obtain before hire)
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly
- Interest in developing expertise in tax resolution
- Prior experience in tax preparation, administrative support, or customer service is preferred but not required

- Work with Cost Basis and Tax Reporting business teams to ensure systems implemented or modified meet departmental requirements.
- Perform gap analysis to determine current/future state and process flows.

- Establish and maintain communication with client business and technical groups regarding progress of conversion/implementation.
- Work with Project Office groups monitoring and reporting milestone and planned activities.
- Participate Mock and Parallel conversion testing activities.
- Ensure the testing and training process are running smoothly.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of brokerage/wealth management industry experience.
- 4+ years experience supporting cost basis systems and processing.for customer tax statements, (Maxit, Wolters Kluer Gainskeeper, Apex Silver, FIS Tax Reporting Suite).
- 3+ years experience utilizing one or more of the following brokerage systems: (BetaNXT Beta, FIS Phase 3, Scivantage Maxit)
- Prior experience on large scale wealth management system implementations.
- Successful track record for completing projects tasks under tight deadlines.
- Extensive client facing and problem-solving experience.
- Excellent communication skills and strong documentation and presentation experience.
- Traditional Business Analyst experience including (documenting current and future state, cross functional flows, developing/modifying business requirement documents, user acceptance testing).
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, especially Excel and SQL.
- Experience in Agile teams.
